A complete cask ale dispense package designed to allow you to serve traditional hand-pulled beer directly from a vertical 9–11 gallon firkin cask.

Ideal for home bars, parties, events and temporary cask ale setups, this package combines a traditional beer engine handpump with a Single Cask Widge Kit and the tubing, insulation and clip required to connect the system together.

Rather than having to work out which individual dispense components you need, we've put together a simple package for anyone wanting to enjoy traditional cask ale without a conventional cellar installation.

How Does It Work?

The Cask Widge allows the firkin to remain standing vertically rather than being positioned horizontally on traditional cask stillage.

The Widge connects to the handpump using the supplied beer line, allowing the beer to be drawn directly from the cask and served through the traditional handpump.

How do I keep the cask cool?
For home bars and temporary setups without cellar cooling, a common simple method is to place the cask in a suitable large container or tub with ice and water to help keep it cool. The supplied insulation can then be fitted around the beer line between the cask and handpump to help reduce warming through the line.

Does the cask need to be laid on its side?
No. The Single Cask Widge is designed to allow a compatible 9–11 gallon firkin to be dispensed from while it is standing vertically.

Does the kit include the beer cask?
No. The package contains the dispense equipment only. Your cask ale will need to be purchased separately from a brewery or beer supplier.

What size cask can I use?
The supplied Cask Widge is designed for 9–11 gallon firkin casks.

Can I use this in a home bar?
Yes. That's one of the main uses we've put this package together for. It provides a straightforward way of serving traditional hand-pulled cask ale in a home bar without a conventional pub cellar setup.

Will it work with any beer keg?
No. This package is for traditional cask ale in a compatible firkin cask. It is not designed for standard pressurised lager or brewery kegs that use keg couplers and gas.
