30 Litre Keg Cooling Jacket

Keep your beer, lager or cider keg cool without the need for a traditional cellar cooling system.

This 30 Litre Keg Cooling Jacket is a practical and cost-effective solution for maintaining keg temperature where cellar cooling is unavailable. Ideal for home bars, garden bars, events, festivals, mobile bars and temporary dispense setups, the jacket wraps around the keg and circulates chilled water to help keep your product at a consistent serving temperature.

The jacket features integrated cooling pipework and is supplied with a John Guest 3/8" male fitting for connection to a suitable chilled water recirculation system.

Ideal For

  • Home bar installations
  • Garden bars
  • Mobile bars
  • Temporary bar setups
  • Events and festivals
  • Breweries and taprooms
  • Locations without cellar cooling

How Does It Work?

The cooling jacket circulates chilled water around the outside of the keg, helping to reduce and maintain the keg temperature during service.

To operate, the jacket must be connected to a suitable chilled water recirculation source such as:

  • Flash Cooler
  • Shelf Cooler
  • Remote Cooler
  • Python Cooling System

The jacket is fitted with integrated pipework terminated with a John Guest 3/8" male fitting for simple connection to compatible cooling systems.

Important Information

Keg cooling jackets are designed to help maintain and reduce keg temperature but should not be considered a substitute for a fully refrigerated cellar.

For best results, we recommend starting with a reasonably cool keg and using the jacket to maintain serving temperature during operation.

Condensation

Please note that condensation will naturally form on the outside of the cooling jacket during use.

The amount of condensation produced will depend on the temperature difference between the chilled water circulating through the jacket and the surrounding environment. Warmer ambient temperatures will generally result in increased condensation.

For this reason, we recommend placing the keg on a suitable drip tray, bucket or collection tray during operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this cool a warm keg?

Keg cooling jackets are designed to help reduce and maintain keg temperature when connected to a suitable chilled water recirculation system. Performance will depend on factors such as ambient temperature, keg starting temperature and the cooling system being used.

What can I connect this cooling jacket to?

This cooling jacket is suitable for connection to:

  • Flash Coolers
  • Shelf Coolers (using the optional connection kit)

Can I connect this cooling jacket to a remote cooler?

Yes, however alternative fittings will be required. The optional connection kit supplied on this listing is intended for use with compatible shelf coolers.

If you are planning to connect the jacket to a remote cooler, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to advise on the correct fittings required.

Do I need the connection kit?

The connection kit is recommended if you are connecting the cooling jacket to a compatible shelf cooler. It includes insulated tubing and John Guest elbows to help simplify installation.

How many cooling jackets can I run from a shelf cooler?

As a general recommendation, we suggest running a maximum of two cooling jackets per shelf cooler to maintain effective cooling performance.

Will the cooling jacket produce condensation?

Yes. Condensation is a normal part of operation and will vary depending on the surrounding temperature and humidity. In warmer environments, more condensation is likely to be produced.

We recommend placing the keg on a suitable drip tray, bucket or collection tray to catch any condensation.

What size keg is this jacket designed for?

This cooling jacket is designed for use with standard 30 litre kegs.
