Keep your beer, lager or cider keg cool without the need for a traditional cellar cooling system.

This 50 litre keg cooling jacket is a practical and cost-effective solution for maintaining keg temperature where cellar cooling is unavailable. Ideal for home bars, garden bars, events, beer festivals, mobile bars and temporary dispense setups, the jacket wraps around the keg and circulates chilled water to help keep your product at a consistent temperature.

The jacket features integrated cooling pipework and is supplied with a 3/8" John Guest male fitting for connection to a suitable chilled water recirculation system, such as a flash/shelf cooler or remote cooler/python system. Alternative fittings may be required depending on your setup.

Please note: This is not an electrically powered cooling jacket. Chilled water must be circulated through the jacket from a suitable cooling system.

How Does It Work?

Chilled water from your cooler is circulated through the pipework built into the jacket. The jacket wraps around the keg, helping to reduce and maintain the keg temperature during dispense.

For best results, the keg should already be reasonably cool before use. The jacket is designed to help maintain temperature rather than rapidly chill a warm keg from room temperature.

Connecting the Cooling Jacket

The jacket can be connected to a suitable flash/shelf cooler, or incorporated into a remote cooler/python system.

For connection to a shelf cooler, we can also supply a connection kit containing insulated tubing and John Guest elbows. Different fittings may be required when connecting to a remote cooler or existing installation.

Important – Condensation

These jackets will produce condensation. The warmer the surrounding environment, the more condensation may be produced due to the temperature difference between the chilled jacket and surrounding air.

We recommend placing the keg and jacket on a suitable tray or in a bucket/container to collect condensation, particularly when used in warm environments, marquees, outdoor bars or temporary installations.

How Many Jackets Can I Run From One Cooler?

As a general guide, we recommend connecting a maximum of two keg cooling jackets to one suitable shelf cooler. The actual performance will depend on the cooler, ambient temperature and installation.

Does the cooling jacket chill a warm keg?
The jacket is primarily designed to help maintain keg temperature using chilled recirculated water. For best results, start with a keg that is already reasonably cool.

Does the jacket have its own refrigeration unit?
No. The jacket must be connected to a suitable chilled water recirculation system such as a shelf/flash cooler or remote cooler.

What size connection does it have?
The jacket is supplied with a 3/8" John Guest male connection. Additional or alternative fittings may be required depending on your cooling system.

Can I use it at an outdoor bar or event?
Yes. Cooling jackets are particularly useful where conventional cellar cooling isn't available. Bear in mind that warmer conditions can increase condensation and place greater demand on the cooling system.

Can I connect more than one jacket to a cooler?
Yes. As a general guide, we recommend a maximum of two jackets from one suitable shelf cooler.
