A fantastic local smooth brewed traditionally with the finest Pale malts, flavoured with a blend of special Roasted Barley, Chocoate and Crystal malt. The unique final blend of flavour, bitterness and 'mouthfeel' combine wonderfully to produce an exceptionally balanced beer for any occasion. 

Pouring notes:

1. Select a clean, dry, chip-free glass
2. Position under the tap and angle at 45 degrees. Pour down the side of the glass. 
3. Fill to the brim immersing the nozzle in the beer for the final 3cm
4. Beer should have a creamy head and take around 3 minutes to clear

Dispense rate should be around 22 - 25 seconds per pint with a creamer plate. 

History:

Located locally in Houghton Le Spring, Maxim Brewery comprise a team of former Vaux, Wards, Federation and Newcastle Brewery staff. Their initial aim was to market selected brands from Vaux and Wards portfolios so the local community could enjoy beers that were once made famously throughout the North.
