Fittings:

This M Type keg coupler is a cost-effective option for connecting compatible M Type beer kegs, commonly used by certain German beer brands such as Schneider Weisse.

Designed as our economy M Type coupler, it is particularly suited to occasional use, events, temporary installations and guest beer setups where a higher-spec commercial coupler may not be required.

For frequent or commercial use, we also stock a higher-spec Micromatic M Type Keg Coupler.

When would you use an M Type keg coupler?

  • Serving German beers that require an M Type keg connection
  • Oktoberfest and German beer events
  • Guest beer and limited-time tap installations
  • Temporary beer dispense setups
  • Occasional or light-use dispense systems

Important Compatibility Information

Different keg types use different coupler connections, so please check that your keg requires an M Type coupler before ordering.

Important: This economy coupler is manufactured to a different specification from the Micromatic version and is not compatible with Micromatic cleaning bottles.

If your beer line cleaning system uses a Micromatic cleaning bottle rather than a cleaning ring main, you will need to use our Micromatic M Type Keg Coupler or another suitable compatible connector.

If you're unsure which coupler you require, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to help identify the correct type.

Economy vs Micromatic M Type Coupler

We stock both this economy M Type keg coupler and a higher-spec Micromatic M Type coupler.

This economy version provides a lower-cost option for occasional use, events and temporary dispense setups.

For regular or commercial use, or where compatibility with a Micromatic cleaning bottle is required, we recommend our Micromatic M Type coupler.

Before You Buy

Keg couplers are available in several different connection types, including A, D, S, G, M and U Type, and these connections are not interchangeable.

The beer brand alone isn't always enough to identify the correct coupler, as keg connections can vary. If you're unsure whether your keg requires an M Type coupler, please contact us with details or a photograph of the keg valve and we'll try to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

What beers use an M Type keg coupler?
M Type couplers are commonly associated with certain German beer kegs, including Schneider Weisse. However, keg connections can vary, so we recommend checking the keg connection rather than relying solely on the beer brand.

Is this suitable for regular commercial use?
This is our cost-effective M Type option and is best suited to occasional or light use, events and temporary installations. For frequent or commercial use, we recommend our higher-spec Micromatic M Type coupler.

Can I use this coupler with a Micromatic cleaning bottle?
No. Due to differences in manufacturing specification, this economy M Type coupler is not compatible with Micromatic cleaning bottles. If you use a Micromatic cleaning bottle, choose our Micromatic M Type coupler instead.

Does the coupler come with the beer and gas fittings?
You can choose the coupler on its own or the option supplied with fittings. The fittings option includes the gas inlet female adaptor and beer outlet female adaptor.

I'm not sure which keg coupler I need. Can you help?
Yes. If you're unsure which connection your keg uses, contact us before ordering with details of the keg or a clear photograph of the keg valve and we'll try to identify the correct coupler.
